I think at the core, you need a group of people who all feel broadly the same way, and who add things to the forums. Is there enough interest in this forum of the pyro hobby to make that so?
What does the society need to keep going?

I think we all need to keep it going so we can keep the licensing and certificate process going if they see the club is no more then it’s much easier to say the need is no longer required and we all lose what we wanna be able to do then

I think ultimately we just need to see who actually is around, who posts. I know there was to some extent a "migration" to facebook groups. But an organised and formal society is useful too.

Maybe that could be a way to restart the forum have a meet sort out what needs to be done

Currently a meet would bring us into disrepute because of the covid lockdown, but to plan one now for next April or May would be a good idea and probably out of lockdown season by then. Royal Gunpowder Mills for a suggestion or all out for a pizza somewhere with a car park.

A meeting would be good, sometime next summer.

Yeah wasn’t thinking right away as these things normally require time to plan so we get a good turn out

Yeah, middle of next year would work I think. I guess it's just a question of seeing who is interested in keeping something like this going, and maybe a chat about the way forward? Just as an example, could perhaps discuss if a forum like this has a role, or if eg a private facebook groups for members would work better. Just citing this as an example.

I'm certainly interested in a meet next year and, after the announcement of a good looking vaccine, we should be out of covid problems by then.

The only challenge is finding a suitable place and naming a date. In the summer 2021 the natural solar UV will reduce the virus in the air and all the competing vaccines should become available plus a lot of people will have acquired immunity from being infected probably 30% of infections are so mild that people dont realise that they had it.
Who has access to land we can use, that will not have a standing crop.

It'd be good if we could find somewhere that's fairly central for all of us and that depends on where we are. I'm in Northamptonshire.
