Yes, the quickmatch igniting both stages makes quite a bang - it would be even louder if I had used plastic-coated quickmatch. The last two bangs are the Ti drivers' - it looks like they exploded, but the tubes remained intact. The nozzles remained (with some widening), but the clay plugs were blown out.

That was excellent Creepin, I don't suppose you have a before firing picture or a diagram of the wheel to show us what style you used?

No, if you do that, you increase the possibility of having the lance go out. it should be attached like the driver, to rotate with the driver, so it is less effected by the wing. It will also provide a much clear and thicker ring of fire.

Attaching it toward the crowd will provide a much thiner circle of fire and increase the chance of the lance blowing out. It can and is being done for certain effects, but I think for what you are trying to do, you will be better of with the first option.

Just browsed through some of my libraries. The pictures are of very low resolution, but I hope it explains the colour pot orientation. In this case, the short tube contains the pot. I can?t find a video for this, but I?ll keep looking.

Wheel2 is probably the best to see a close up of the fusing.

One thing I would like to note about your wheel ? it?s too short. The whole video was 18 seconds. The little wheel in the picture below burn for 18 seconds and produce very good effect. I always suggest starting with two-driver wheels and get them well timed before moving on to larger wheels. Larger wheels should move slowly ? the effect being more majestic in size then fast in movement.

That was a very nice wheel, Creepin pyro - I love the addition reports at the end of drivers. I've always particularly enjoyed things with a good amount of piped match on them. I love the sound it makes when a lot of it goes at once. Congratulations!

This isn't excactly a Catherine Wheel but it was my first attempt at a wheel.

Worked out pretty well, I used this formula by Kyle Kepley :

Meal Powder - 8
Charcoal Airfloat - 1
Aliminium Flake - 1
FeTi - 1
Charcoal Spruce - 0.5

For the header I used Crackling Micro Stars, formula by Larry Stevens :

Lead Tetraoxide - 10
Copper(II) Oxide, black - 7
Magnalium, granular, -200 mesh - 4
Potassium Nitrate - 1.5
Sulfur - 1

The mix I use for my drivers is 16 potassium nitrate -4 charcoal -3 sulfur and I use 10% of the wieght water , to granulate the powder. Note that I mix by hand, do not use ball milling machines. These work great. The size of the nozzle is 3.7 mm. Inner diameter of tube 13 mm.

Looks very nice, is the frame homemade? It looks pretty good, trying to work out if its plastic or wood! Everyone likes a good wheel, they are nice pieces and not enough people make them, myself included. But to make up for it i'm planning a simple Irdieden this November. Hmm wonder if it will work!

Look forward to the Vid!!

Nice labels :P

Thanx karl, yes it's homemade (i'm a joiner by trade, not that it's difficult),it's MDF.I'll probably be using it again so made it look good. One of the reasons i made this was because no one really makes them,so expect more :) .

I forgot to mention that the drivers are at a 30 degree angel,iv seen them befor but wasn,t sure so i'll start at 30 an see how it go's

Hi KarlosH
I have thought about making these. They use a set of drivers to rotate the wheel and rockets to lift them, but my rockets are a long way off so it will be some time before i do make one
