Ok, video with the following (in order)

20mm can shell- stale Al stars
20mm can shell- bad glitter
1/2" salute rocket- failed
1/2" salute rocket
1-1/4" can shell daytime- gold
1-1/4" can shell- glitter
3 2 inch mines, fanned with charcoal streamer stars and salutes (16)
20mm triple break glitter shell (glitter, glitter, salute)- long delay.
2" can shell- glitter
2" can shell- glitter
2" can shell- white
2" can shell- salutes

I think i can actually get repeatable results with my 2 inchers! all thanks using the proper kraft paper for the job! now i can move on to the 3 inchers woo

Enjoy! Enjoy!

Have to say that it was a really nice video you got!
Liked the mine, and the one that came after.
Your 2 inches is really good, can't wait for your 3 inches!!

Nice videos. But your mines don?t fly as high as others I?ve seen before or I?ve shot myself. I wonder, how much lifting charge did you use?!

Cool! Glad to see you back in the saddle mate.

Edit: I agree with paul, the fanned mines needed more lift. (but like I can talk, my mines work well about 1 in 5 tries).

yea they were "shallow" mines (short tubes) . It was intentional, the lower the lift the denser the effect..... ontop of the fact that shorter tubes give wider spray.

any favourites? or critisisms?

Yes of course :D I like the dense glitter-effects most. I made a few 25mm glitterstars myself and they worked quite well, too.
So your glitter and your daylight-effects are quite impresive for the 2" class :P

The daytime shell break would have been interesting at night.

The second rocket looked pretty cool, got any pre-shoot pictures of the devices?

The 2" glitter shells were pretty cool, how big were the stars?

No photos as such, there is one of the box with the shells in but it aint much to look at. Stars were around 10mm cubes

GREAT job Matt! I like them all, but that does not come without criticism. Wish I was at the level you are but I am just criticizing on how I would like them to come out.

From the computer I am on it looks like a few shells break on their way up. If this is the case just a little extra timefuse though I know its hard to get in Au also right?

Would have loved to see that 2" gold can shell at night though. Otherwise amazing job! Keep up the good work.

I prefer my shells to break on the way up, it gives more of a palm effet.
That gold shell wasnt 2 inch....

Ok just wondering. If it is intentional then as long as you are happy keep up the good work.

Seemed like a nice break for a 1 1/4", my mistake :D , shell. Just wondering what the formula it was for the gold and if was a bright gold or a dull hanging one?

Finally, I have gathered the courage to leap off the 0 post mark!
Just realised I can't link to Geocities!

After a long time of doing not much pyro-wise I'm back in the game too. Here are a couple of small (and not that good quality videos) of my first try at the 3" variety.

Copy 'n' paste http://www.geocities...nch_chrissy.zip
This is the pick of the videos in my opinion. It was essentially a "comet" shell using 16mm pumped stars. I must confess that the crackling was "borrowed" from a commercial item. Break charge was meal coated puffed rice (yes, not the best choice but it saves money  )

Copy 'n' paste http://www.geocities...tter_3_inch.zip
The stars were a little fast burning in this shell.

Copy 'n' paste http://www.geocities...gold_3_inch.zip
3" Gold Bowtie shell, well thats what I'll call it :-)

Well that will do, I'd hate to steal attention from Matt's items :P

Wow, your stuff was great Matt - the glitter especially. Was that D1 or another formula?

That 3" chrysantamem kicked ass too. Well done!
