selling fireworks from a car boot sale is strictly illegal, and if trading standards get to know ;) they can confiscate the goods and get the seller a hefty fine and possible imprisonment.

Are you completely sure that you don't have 2.5" shells sold to you as 3"? Do they have any size marking on the label?

You can wrap card (pizza box type seems to work well and brown tape around the perimeter of the shell to mke it a better fit. I have done this in the past. It's a pain but it seems to work (Tape it tightly) and is a lot more reliable than playing with lift ratios etc.

Why not just buy some 2.5 inch mortars?

We are probably in the market to buy a tent... Don't think they are that expensive and we will hopefully need it lots of times in due course...

Check out www.partytent.co.uk, they have some good stuff, easy to erect and reasonable prices :)

I try

Regarding the Gazebo Phil, it does have walls but it's a thin fabric mesh, not sure if it has a cover to go over them but your right, we need something like we had at the convention.

Try contacting your local scouts or girl guides to borrow a small marquee or large mess tent, just remember insurance for anything you borrow.
