At a guess minor tasks have been sidelined for the duration of the covid panic. Things will assume a new normal when there have been no new cases for a month. I've lost two immediate colleagues to covid, I don't see reason why other people should have all survived. Just accept that one or more names in your phone will not survive.

T is theatrical pyro
T1 is available to anyone with the wish to buy
T2 is available to people with specific training experience and insurance including experience in using devices outside their intended function.
Look also at battle sim suppliers.
All uses of all devices assume that you will use the device as supplied (CADded, CE (at the moment) approved)
Using BP requires you to have A&K and proper storage etc
It's very likely that you will want lots of wires to ensure instant ignition and not remote wireless or programmed sequences (because some reenactors can't be absolutely reliable in terms of position and timing.
Insurance will probably demand all cadded items (no DIY).
Illuminate Consult have run training courses for using T2 items.

IMO it was the arrival of social media that killed the forum here. There are only a few people interested in the science of fireworks and divided between the available forums and social media sites no-one actually "forum meets" anyone else. When this forum was in it's heyday discussions were possible in an evening people stayed here for a chat. Now people wander through asking "what's going on". The lockdowns could have helped -someone to chat with remotely, but fashion is social media not forums now,
Richard is keeping the forum running -but for how long will he wish to continue? As ever it's use it or lose it.

The chances of getting a guest speaker of calibre are directly related to the number of members attending, no-one wants to put themselves out for an audience of three.

Carriage is expensive so sellers have to cover it in the price or add money onto a shop price.
