I'm looking to source FerroCerium powder, Cerium Powder and Zirconium/Zirconium alloys in a range of grades. Any suggestions other than filing down fire starter sticks please.

Potassium Chlorate Compositions
19 February 2017 - 11:25 AM
Would appreciate advice on a safe method of rendering compositions containing Potassium Chlorate inert by chemical means. The composition is wetted with water - it's a match-head composition - but would need converting to a state whereby if it were allowed to dry, it would NOT leave an explosive substance - "self sustaining burning".
Any process should therefore be conducted whilst wet and leave a residue which is "dead" when dry. The process should be safe of course. No enthusiasm really for Manganese Dioxide and clouds of Oxygen.
Non-Pyrotechnic Electric Igniters

This has possibly (or probably) been posted before, please forgive any repetition.
Can anyone pass on personal experience of these items. Are they reliable? What are the initiation characteristics in comparison to "normal" lelectric igniters?
I am looking to source a reliable supply either in China or at an honest price in the States for these items. Not a huge quantity, maybe 1000 - 5000 assuming the price is right. I've been quoted a ridiculous price and have turned here for common sense.

I'm not sure if this has ever appeared here before but can anyone provide information on the quantity of gas generated by one gramme of gunpowder at ambient temperature and pressure?
Pyrophoric Alloys

I am trying to source any alloys in ingot form.
Before I receive links to the obvious sources on the net - I have already looked at the obvious sources on the net!
(sorry if that's sarcastic)
Keen to hear from anyone with any experience in this field or anything to sell.
