Yes, you can read after you register but it takes a few days to get approved by an Admin to do anything else. It's a good way of doing things IMO. I have a little forum of my own thats private. It keeps down on the BS if you micromanage memberships.

If you wanted to spend a whole weekend flagging those vids, you could. It's waaay out of control. BTW, in US they are referred to as "Kewl b**b Dudes"
In Topic: When Do You Buy Your Fireworks?
17 October 2007 - 10:12 PM
As its now close to the "official" buying season its seems like a relevant question- when do you buy your stuff? Do you plan in advance, or just pick up bits that take your fancy. Both methods have their merits - planning can help with structure, but I've found that anything too well planned often ends with disappointment- and its good to be spontaneous!
Secondly, what kind of budget do you work to? Does anyone here go for the biggest item? I do- although I do get a nice discount usually.
I wait until the last minute this time of year. Recently i've been steering away from the smaller items and just staying with the larger break pieces. If I do buy small things they are usually fountains, comets, pearl crossettes and the screaming/whistling items to mix in with or provide low-level coverage in a finale. If it's too cold this NYE, I will probably just do a finale segment at midnight and maybe hand light a few things up to that time and after. As far as what I spend, that usually depends. I've been known to throw down $3,000 US or more, but average is 1500 usually.

Thought I would give this a bump and see if there was any headway made here. I still think it's a good idea.
Bumping it myself. Hello, I just joined because I like to watch the "Euro" pyro vids and read the forums. I broke off a couple months ago and purchased a Photopost Pro gallery site for my own Consumer ventures and whoever else wanted to participate. It is not "officially" affiliated with any forums. Feel free to use it if you like

Contact me by PM here or at my site if you want specific categories, etc.. and I will be happy to accomodate.
