The Roar on the shore display is next Thursday (20th August) between the Bournemouth and Boscombe piers and ending with a world record attempt 110,000 rockets in less than 60 seconds (twice the size of the 2006 Plymouth record). The money raised by it is going to a good cause too (Help for Heroes) so worth chipping in a contribution.
Should be a good display for anyone in the area - I'll be there if the weather is OK.

Reserve fuse on cakes
23 September 2008 - 04:13 PM
Some Cat. 3 cakes have a spare fuse in case of failure of the main fuse - can anyone tell me how this is arranged? I assume it is merely a fuse running into the last tube so if it is used the cake will fire backwards. If the cake fires normally I would assume this fuse will continue to burn at the end of the firing.
My interest is in using this to daisy chain a second cake on after the first. If my assumptions on the workings are correct this should work with only a very short delay between one cake finishing and the next starting.

I don't know if this is of interest to anyone. I haven't had a chance to see it myself yet so can't comment on it. The website only shows where the gallery is and doesn't give any details.

Killer Swarms From Saturn
26 November 2007 - 10:52 PM
I picked up a couple of Killer Swarms from Saturn made by Millenium - they are large 19 shot cakes for £5 each so I figured they had to be worth buying. Does anybody know what the effect is like so I can work them into my next display?
Cheers,
Dave
