Hey guys, you may have read some of my topics recently where I am looking to do something for a close friend of mine - a small firework show in which I may propose.
Now I am located in London and I have managed too, through some of my connections - managed to get a very large private garden in the Regents Park area.
Now I have one problem - to actually do the fireworks in this garden I have managed to secure, this is what they have told me -
" the fireworks displayed would need to be operated by a professional and we will need a risk assessment before the day. "
So now I need to find a professional with a license I am guessing and the day before a small risk assesment thing would be carried out.
I don't have a confirmed date but it will be roughly 7:30pm, in Mid October.

Now I am wondering if there is anyone here who may fit the bill. Obviously I would pay for your services.
I'm looking for a Firework display which is approx. 5 minutes - I think that is a fair/good enough time right? So obviously I need someone who is a pro. - is willing to do this for me and is pretty confident they could come up with an amazing firework display for me and my g/f...coz this is the one she will remember for life
Any thoughts?

Freezing animals in motion....liquid/chemical?
18 September 2008 - 09:57 AM
I have a project for college and I want to do something crazy – even if it seems “cruel” to some people.
I want to get an animal which I have already chosen…it will be dead…and I want to freeze it in motion and store it in some type of “material/liquid”
Then like boz it in some sort of glass box so it is see through and inside will be this animal in the given pose
Anybody know something I could use to do this…even it is a bit expensive material…obviously the animal can not corrode
Something like you know Hunters, get a head of a Deer maybe they have killed and it is stuffed and they put it the head on a mantel peice..something like that but within a substance that can be put in a see through box of glass..so like some kind of chemical liquid

Formaldehyde

Have you guys heard of something called formaldehyde?
It's like a chemical compound you can use to store living animals for example without them getting ruined...
I wanted to know if something like this is accessible to the normal person, I had an idea for a college art project

Need help on choosing what fireworks to buy/use -
17 September 2008 - 03:20 PM
Hey people,
I'm planning to do a small firework display for me and my girlfriend very soon - like in 2 weeks time.
Now I'm a newbie when it comes to "types" of fireworks, or names or styles.
I'm going to be doing this in a large private garden area I've managed to secure. So I need some help on some type of choices of style of fireworks - I don't want anything really loud, more some really beautiful effects.
If anyone knows of an IRISH theme firework that would be ideal - like something green, as she is Irish...but I'd like a mix of styles. I have like £200 - 300 as a budget to spend. I want it to be roughly 5 minutes
Anyone have an ideas and links where I could buy them also? I'm based in London if it helps
