Didnt even realise they had brought anything new out this year!

Personally im a big fan of the stuff I used last year one reason why ive got a good few of their items this year aswell, until see what some of the new stuff got this year brings Brothers will remain as my favourite brand however they will need to bring new stuff to the market to keep people interested.

Well I chose to take the lot. Cabbage patch stock the entire brothers range. The New stuff is very nice I really like bling bling and it as sold very well with regulars. Legend as been popular too but baby boomers and big n bold have been slow sellers but I rate them very highly.
Keeping my ear to the ground... watch out for a huge number of new items for 2009 season.

Obsession & The Pulverizer (http://www.men-shun....egory-3/page/5/)

Are the best sub £30 menshun barrages IMO. Hard to get because all the pro's pick these!

Not any more the new vewrsion of obsession is dire. Used to be my fave too.

the big red one you are talking about would be up there with all the overdressed rogue fireworks. Basically its just a few of menshuns candles fused together with lots and lots of empty space. Compared to say 888 by brothers it is twice the size but only offers a similar performance. tbh i think 888 is better. Which if you shop around you can pick up at £16.50 (no hidden vat to add either).

To be fair JTF do sell a few good menshun items at a fantastic discount but they do tend to sell most of the poorer quality menshun products.

But as i say they do have a few quality items its a matter of picking them out. I dont have a list in front of me but from memory battlecruiser and independence day used to be cheap from JTF which are good.

hey ho, that's the risk you run when you highlight misleading information I guess, hope you have a good guy fawkes :)

me too. But please look out for our next pyrofix and come along you will be most welcome just like everyone else is. I am confident my business will continue to grow. Just like epic i have never heard anyone giving us bad press either.

People who do come to us come back again and again and each year my customer base is growing and it has to be said more from word of mouth than any form of advertising.

Hence why you missed us in your extensive research. Well never mind hopefully we can help you out in the future afterall I do stock many lines that Epic dont.

Hmm There seems to be an ongoing trend here that the people who try and nit pick and complain about Epic Fireworks are those people who own / run there own business which is trying to compete with them. I just wonder how much more trade they would get if they concentrated on there own businesses as much as they concentrate on Epic's

I have not heard one person who does not sell fireworks complain about them so they must be doing something right.

My personal experience with them is that they give me the best price (by a long way) for the fireworks i wanted and i was more than happy with them and would recommend them to anyone.

well if you took the blinkers off you may find there are other retailers just as cheap if not cheaper and offer as good if not better service. As it happens my last customer just drove from Watford! because he thinks I am the best and I am expecting a good customer from Bude today as well which is a 614 mile round trip, also because he thinks I give the best advice , price , range etc

So each to their own I suppose.

I am not trying to pick a fight I am actually a nice fella. I organise free events where we fire over £3000 of fireworks twice a year followed by a display again worth well over £1000 where we use products available from our shop so customers can see ideas of how it can fit. We also provide dvds of all the products we sell in our shop filmed and fired by us so we can give the very best advice possible. ie we know everything we sell down to the last screech!

tell me of other retailers with that product knowledge? believe me theres not many..
I can name a few but epic are not one of them

Pure Party
1st Galaxy
21st Centuary
Jordans
Big firework shop
Cabbage patch fireworks.

If I have missed anyone else I apologise. But they are the companies I know go to similar lengths to give the best advice possible.

As for concentrating on Epic we have to. yes they are the biggest but when I have to explain to my customers that my price is cheaper even though it only has 33% off retail rather than epics 50% its confusing. They are so big they do target customers nationwide and therefore affect quite a number of retailers with their sales tactics. I am not saying they are wrong to do so. If I thought I could get away with it with a clear conscience that I would probably do the same.

I hope that clarifies a few matters. If you were to visit any of the above mentioned shops I am sure you would be as impressed if not more so with the service you receive. But thats your choice.
