There used to be several shops selling them round here but there are none left now,i have had a few bits in the past and although they were nothing special they performed o.k.,what do other's think of Sparky fireworks?,now,i have always found them to be very poor!,cheap, yes, quality,no!

I have quite a bit from Cosmic this year,my local Garden Centre is selling them at great prices,i have always rated this brand but they are in the process of changing their branding again, they used to sell under various names,Cosmic,Golden Lion,Astra,Benwell,Flash,NG and others but they are now selling under the name CosmicAstra and selling off all the old stock, they used to make some excellent loud air bomb cakes until the new regulations stopped that!,i have seen videos of most of their stuff and it looks fine to me,let me know what Londis have got and i'll let you know if it's any good!

Sainsburys are doing Standard again with the usual buy one,get one free but they seem very overpriced to me!,£25 for a smallish cake!,only small rockets too,the cheapest thing is a fountain for £5,don't think i'll bother!,going to Lidl to get the Weco stuff again,a bit dearer but worth it for the excellent quality!,i wish more shops sold Weco!

I remember these rockets well and it was a much easier way to transport and store large rockets, sometimes you had to rub the stick down to make it fit the socket but they always worked perfectly, you would have to be pretty dumb not to be able to fit the stick to the rocket!,what do others think of the hinged sticks that came out last year?,Absolute use them on their big rockets, the stick is in two halves with a plastic hinge that you open out and snap into place, they were o.k. but don't fit into a normal size launcher! I remember the Zink signal rockets well, what a bang!,bring them back,i say!

I fired my stash last night,it stayed dry but very windy!,all went off fine, very impressed with the Weco cakes from Lidl, loud flash bursts and good spread, had a lot of Brothers stuff, always good, very impressed with the Superior Rockets from Absolute and the Demolition Ballhead from Rage,a big crown ring, had a couple of Sparky bits, not impressed!,a big mine with hardly anything in it,full of sawdust!,the smaller mines were better! Had Magellan rockets again, fantastic!,had a lot of rockets again, only one failure,a ball head that didn't explode, all the rest fine,i thought too they were louder than last year especially some of the cakes, certainly echoed round here! All in All,a good night, roll on new year!
