Do tune in if you fancy a laugh.
I'll post a link to the I player thing, so you can listen to it later on-line if you so desire.

Have you ever tried zirconium and bird grit spark hits.
The two parts are loaded into a hard 'paintball' shell and fired from a paintball gun.
No wiring needed, just spray and pray!
Amount of sparks can be adjusted by varying the amount of zirconium.
I have some smaller versions of these for 6mm BB guns, but the sparks from these are very faint, so the room/set needs to be quite dark and the camera needs a big light catching lens with a small F number (more light getting into the camera) to make them show up.
Hope this helps.

No TV crew now, so save no need for a new hair do!
I suggest everyone aims to arrive for 11am, which should give me time to sort myself and the garden out.
If you haven't already PM'd me to say you'll be coming, please do, as I'll be sending my address just to those who've PMed.

Those who attended the Icarus events in Leicestershire, will remember the entertaining things we got up to.
We have now found a new venue at a firework friendly farm near Stevenage, Hertfordshire - Just off the A1(M), where we can run similar events.
The site is huge with plenty of space for parking, camping, preparation and firing - there will even be a toilet trailer and a large catering sized BBQ on site for our use and it's all for free! - Just bring your own materials and have fun.
Any pyrotechnic/explosive activity that we can legally do can be conducted during the day of Saturday 21st September, but everyone attending will need to sign a disclaimer to the effect that they will meet the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act and the Manufacture and Storage of Explosives Regulations while taking part in the event.
Several firing locations will be set up for different activities, with controls in place to maintain a suitable level of safety, so things can be happening concurrently across the site.
We want to have a grand display on the Saturday night, so we expect everyone attending to donate fireworks to this cause.
The site will be open for people to arrive and set up tents, etc. from the Friday afternoon (20th), everyone is welcome to stay over both the Friday and Saturday nights.
Sunday morning is reserved for a compulsory site clearing operation, where all attendees will be expected to pick up every bit of debris resulting from our activities to leave the site as clean as possible, so the land owner will be happy to invite us back again in the future.
If you would like to attend, please PM me and location details will be distributed nearer the time.
Should go with a bang!
