rocket gary

Hi all, is Ammonium perchlorate safe to store iv read online some where that it can self detonating can any one shed some light on this thanks ?

i have been haveing problems with all the rockets that i make when i try to put a payload on what iv been trying to do is make rockets that bang at the end of the fuel what i do is i make it the same way i would with any rocket clay at top bottom and drill one end but iv drilled a small hole at the top soo that it can ignite the payload but this just does not seem to work it will maby go 20 ft max and make a poping sound then hit the ground still alight and go bang could some one help me out and tell me where im going wrong iv just been makeing shells and i thought i could get a rocket to go much higher but just is not working im sure im just over looking some thing thanks all Gary

Hi all, right i know about the 100g rule with black powder but i was wondering about storing chemicals like potassium perchlorate and potassium nitrate and other oxidizers and all chemicals in pyro is there a certain amount you can legally store or is it only when you mix them that there is a limit ?
