Indeed these are without parallel. I know the maker well and the effort and time that goes into these has to be seen to be believed. He is a gentleman of great modesty who does not like the title Master. Many of the headings take hours apiece merely to load the components. Stars are individually positioned with tweezers, timefuse intervals are cut to 1/32 of an inch. Oddly enough, aside from the aqua star there are no secret formulae, in fact they are almost all published and he will show anyone how to do these - it is all down to the most careful technique, discipline and time. There are chefs and there are cordon bleu chefs....
Many thanks for posting this pic'. Great to see one of these again. Interesting to see what looks like a relatively large bore delay fuse and the use of a fabric material to secure the leader. Now does anyone have a photo of the old string-bound Standard maroons....?
