Hmm, got around £60 to spend this year. Just wondering about suggestions on what to buy?
Looking at starting it off with a carpet of smoke from some smoke grenades, with some sparklers spread out in a long line burning after a short time. (don't include that in the budget)
For the main display, I'm looking at, so far, from lidl, a 25 carat, an ipanema, a firefighter, and a fire pack, but that's only £35.
Was considering getting a few £5 variety packs from tesco, and a £5 pack of rockets, to take it up to £25, for the free cake? Do you guys think this'd be a good bet?
Thanks loads
Joe
P.S. I'm in Hemel Hempstead, if that helps.

I'll be honest, no compositions have been made yet. But I've researched for a pretty long time, and I understand everything I plan on doing fully.Have you made ANY compositions yet ???? Don't get me wrong, IMHO cremoras are a great starting project - But regardless of your mothers permission, i think you've left it a tad late to :
a: source chemicals + visco
b : get your bp to a useable standard
c : get it granulated etc.
d: test your cremoras to a degree where you can feel safe using them infront of others......
will your mother let you fire all the fireworks. Maybe doing that will satisfy you in the meantime, and show your mother how safe you can be. forget " remember remember the 5th of november"
" REMEMBER REMEMBER PPE !!!!"
I'll answer your points:
a. That should be fine, if I get them shipped first class, ordering say tomorrow.
b. With a bit of testing hopefully that's doable? Plenty of time at the weekend.
c. as with B?
d. again, might that be doable?
And yeah, she's fine with me firing them all off, as I did last year, but this year I'd really like to take it a little further.
Thanks for the advice.

And thanks for the welcome
P.S. A minute ago, one thing I thought of was a bundle of sparklers at either side, maybe with 20/30 sparklers each, all lit at once? That could start it quite well, especially if it was through a layer of smoke from smoke canisters etc?
What do you think?
Thanks again ,
Joe
