No problem. Thanks. It seems that successfully obtaining aqua sparks from brass is a fairly rare occurence.

I have not seen any formulas that use brass powder but what I do is cut the bars into 3/4" pieces and use them in my ballmill. I was using lead for the longest time but did not like the contamination that it was causing.

In Topic: Does anyone know where to get chemicals in Canada?

29 November 2004 - 05:18 AM

A very friendly fella here in Canada was running a business called Expedited Chemicals, which sold pyro chemicals to the US and Canada, but his website has been down for months now and he still hasn't answered a purchase inquiry email I sent him about a week ago.

From what I know he is/was the only pyro chemical supplier in Canada. Does anybody know more about Expedited Chemicals and what is going on with them?

Expedited Chemicals
tiger tiger burning bright: Thanks! I'll have to check out Northwest Scientific.

Pyrorand: We definitely need to talk!  :)

Expedited Chemicals is no longer doing bussiness under that name.
His partner has taken over operations under another name.
I have 3 suppliers here in Canada. I supply fuse products and the other 2 supply Chemicals.
Please feel free to email me and we can go from there.

Im also a canadian pyro (victoria, bc) who was out of luck in the chemicals feild.  Try northwest scientific, they only ship to companies and schools, but they really dont care what company (eg, bobs used book mart can order 3 kilos of Mg powder).  So if your friend owns his own small buisness, just ask him to order it for you.  It works remarkably well. :D
