Prof Hawking stated:
cool idea. does anyone use it though? i visited over IRC, and nobody was in. The java client has some weird security issues.
If any of you guys like i could host a nicer chat server for this forum. Wouldnt be too hard i dont think. What do u recon?
Yep. The security certificate on the Java class expired on the 16th january. Why do I need to download the .jar file anyway?? I thought/knew in my own mind chat rooms that use basic java don't need a download

In Topic: Bad news. New law been passed

I for one am very worried about this new law.
I am a shooter (rifle, shotgun, air rifle and air pistol) and can tell what is going to happen with this.
What people must realise is that once the government gets hold of something like this, it keeps squeezing and squeezing.
I have seen this happen to one of my hobbies and I for one am not prepared to see it happen to another 2

well... I'm revving it at 28.8kbps.... BUT, i have unlimited time, so, if I wanna dl someat big, I just leave it all night.
Yes, broadband is only ?2 more expensive per month, but it has a 1gb limit. Still, it keeps things real. It just wouldn't be the internet if I didn't have to wait!

Well... 2 days later and it looks like we're now sorted
Anyway.... it now appears that the worm got in through a one 2 one connection with my mates laptop (I am on a laptop.) I will be talking to him later, but it appears that the worm was not detected on his system either Neither does it appear to have jumped partitions (thank god!!!) so all my critical data is safe.
Still, it proves you can never be too careful these days. The only damage done appears to be wmp, which has stopped working (big loss there!)
