making a press button ignitor

I am interesting in making a press button ignitor to use with my fireworks. I was thinking a small (1000uf, somewheres around 16v) capacitor linked to a small tactile switch and then leads from that to an electric igniter like those used for model rockets. The igniter would start a 4sec fuse. I was challenged by my parents to come up with a "safe" lighting system, and thought something like this might do (will cost me a fortune in tactile swithes though )
