By starting this thread, I wasn't trying to be funny or clever - only highlighting the extreme lack of activity.
Personally I have done very little pyro over the last year or so. Mostly down to house move and associated work involved with getting the house as we would like it. So the only thing that I could contribute, was to suggest that I think that the forum is very quiet (to be polite). At least it has provoked some activity.
Rip Rap do you still have a link to your papers on jumping jacks it was excellent, I have it somewhere but can't find it.
Hi Vic. The guide I wrote is still hosted on the interesting Wichitabuggywhip.com site.
The direct link is here - http://www.wichitabu...ingcracker.html

I certainly agree with 1, 3, 4 and 5. Monthly magazine I am not bothered about. Anything that can go in a magazine can be published on the forum "free".
I am lucky - my ELO is great and I have A&K and AO licences sorted. The main concerns I have at present concern storage of any compositions or articles before firing. I will be honest and say that I do not fully understand what can and cannot be stored. So an "idiots guide to storing experimental pyrotechnic compositions and constructed articles" would be good.

I am eagerly awaiting the Guidance document too
As for me, my wife / family are much happier that amateur pyro is recognised and legal.
@Amergin I wouldn't be put off by "all the paperwork" - certainly as far as the Acquire and Keep explosives certificate is concerned it is very straight forward and free.
The precursor licencing sounds straight forward also.
Or do you mean keeping records of items that have been made, performance, formula etc?

Don’t get to exited I expect more legislation will come in to practise
Like what?? This update of the current legislation has taken years and from what we have heard, the HSE are happy with the updates we have been informed about.
I think it IS time to get excited!
