smoke idea
09 October 2005 - 01:22 AM
i had an idea one day on how to make those nija smoke balls you see in the movies using sugar potassium chlorate and sulfur now i know that chlorate and sulfur mixture are sensitive to impact and friction but the point wouild be that i would make a poof of smoke on impact. would the mixture just explode and if i mixed amounts around 5 grams at a time with less sulfur would it be safer? or should i just abandon the idea altogether?
time fuse
17 September 2005 - 01:12 AM
hi i have tried a few time to make an areal saluet with no luck. i dont have access to time fuse or visco so i tried it with my black match which is decent quality. so i tried it every time it just explodes in the mortar destroying it. i have used 2 different methods firstly i just had a firecracker that fit the tube and launched it out with bp and i tried it so that i had a mortar that fit the salut and it was built like this http://putfile.com/p...115540.jpg&s=x1 so i was wondering if it is possible to use black match as a time fuse and what i would have to do to make it work
