I havent made any real succesfull BP , was using the airfloat stuff from skylighter, but my question is that it seems like a majority are making the charcoal themselves, even though its really cheap to buy, but then maybe its really cheap and there for everyone soon learns to make their own. So is this the case??

Also in my are I have a never ending supply of these Sage trees or bushes ,, was wonding if this would make good charcoal??? also have lots of Mesquite trees all over the place that are just a chain saw away from being brought down.. i take it the smaller branches is what you want for the charcoal because its easier to deal with and you would have more control over it??

Some have posted those 3lb ball mills are not that good, what is the reason??? the speed at which it turns the RPM is to slow?? or some have said that its a belt issue that you tend to go thur them pretty quiwk?
was thinking of getting one of the one that hold 2 barrels. this is pretty much a new hobby for me,, I mainly do alot of telescope stuff but the clouds tend to curse us people at night, so looking for some other things to pass the time away.
