In Topic: Electrical Firing System

Has anyone tried customising DMX technology for firing systems? I'm looking into it at the moment, seems perfect for computer controlled firing with up to 512 control channels. Can't find any DMX receivers with lots of MOSFETs on though, would it be easy to make?

Does anyone on this forum have an idea of the going rate for perchlorate? Not a lab supplies price or a US price, but a proper UK price? If some one was able to get hold of a 25kg drum how much would it work out on the kg? Surely someone somewhere in the UK can get it? And if so how much should we all be prepared to pay?
In Topic: Homemade ball mill - is coke bottle ok to use?
15 December 2003 - 06:07 PM
As we're on the subject of ball mills...
On my very unsuccessful Christmas shopping outing today, I bought a set of dumbbells for a friend. As I was walking out of the fitness shop I noticed various sized rubber bottles containing creatine and such like, perfect for your average ball mill. Admittedly they are VERY expensive bottles so try asking one of your body-builder friends if you could have their discarded ones.

In Topic: Aluminium Powder ?

The guy who's selling the Aluminium powder on eBay has loads of other chemicals; pot nitrate, chlorate, perchlorate, sulphur etc. looks like we could have a UK version of Skylighter starting up!
