I'd taken my son to an organised display on saturday evening in Huddersfield, of all things it was a thomas the tank engined themed display (it was so bad as to be brilliant) and whilst we were there I heard several extremely loud reports, when I say loud i mean they were so loud you could actually feel them and they seemed quite some distance away, there were quite a lot over the hour and a half we were there. On the way home there was one particular bang that physically shook my car, I honestly thought i'd run over something.

These carried on going off until about 10.30pm. Anyone idea what they could have been. I'm not entirely sure they're part of an organised display due to the lateness they were going off and the length of time they were being set off for ( about 5 hours)

We went to the same display last year and I noticed that the same thing happened then too. If it is an organsied display i'd love to find out where it is, anyone any ideas?

As for the thomas the tank engine display, that had to be seen to be believed, really was hilarious just wish i'd taken some video of it. Only bad thing about it was that maybe the firworks went on just a bit too long, never actually thought i'd hear myself say that

I've paid a visit to the standard factory shop today and compared to last year their choice and prices seem much improved. I've already bought quite a few bits from Epic but i'm always on the lookout for anything going cheap

It's down at £149 on standards online shop but is being sold for £60 at the factory shop. Unfortunately they don't show any of the individual fireworks only the rather massive box they all come in.

Has anyone had these before and if so was it any good?

If they're half decent then it seems like a bit of a bargain, i'm only wary as some of the larger sized standard stuff i've bought in the past has turned out to be a bit dissapointing.
