Hi.
I am a Spanish Pyro.
I would like to make this effect. (look photo)
Anybody knows a composition to make this effect?
Note: this effect is different of WILLOW, TIGER TAIL or KAMURO.
Here, in Spain, the name of this effect, is: "LENTEJUELA DORADA".
thanks

How to press the WHISTLE MIX ?
08 October 2004 - 10:18 PM
Hi,there. I write from Madrid (SPAIN).
I use web-translator. Sorry.
I want to make the whistle mix:
Perchlorate-Benzoate 70/30.
Is well-read the book of Takeo Shimizu "FIREWORKS", page 232. part 15.4 Whistles.
But then I have my doubts and worry(restlessness) when I go to press this composition, inside the cardboard pipe, with home-hydraulic-press, without gauge...
Questions, please: How I can determine the pressure that I send to the whistle mix, with my hydraulic press 10 Tm ?
To look the link=
http://geocities.com...aulic_press.htm
I have read that never RAMMER this composition perchlorate-benzoate. Only press.
But... HOW ???
I can to press WET(humid) this composition without not to run risks, and after to dry the loaded cardboard, some days?
I wish any idea, pyro friends of the FORUM.

Question STOICHIOMETRY ?
10 September 2004 - 01:24 PM
I have stored a quantity of black powder, composed for: 75 potassium nitrate-15 charcoal-10 sulfur. (Make ball mill, 3 hours)
And the possibility exists of that, during his(its) manufacture, it mix (75-15-10) can be contaminated
with some particles of powder of POTASSIUM PERCHLORATE.
My question is: In normal conditions of storage and temperature, can be exists dangerous risk of fire ? explosion in the mixture 75-15-10, for containing this small contamination with some particles of POTASSIUM PERCHLORATE?
What says the chemical "Pyro" STOICHIOMETRY (estequiometr?a) in this matter?
I have to destroy these kilos, immediately or it(she) is necessary "a precise quantity" of the product contaminant, in order that it can react with all black powder ?
SINCERELY GREETINGS from Madrid (SPAIN) !!!
