So...While we wait for Anthony's reply....What exactly is this very expensive and rare firework display/set?

I make my own smoke canisters for playing paintball with. I use the "Candy Rocket" Propellent, which is baked in the oven. Not really a newbie formula, since it does require the baking of a flammable liquid/solid. But here's the website should you decide to try it out:

He's quite well-experimented on this propellant, good stuff.

Al69: Using permanganate flash carries more of a risk than the usual 70/30 Perc/Al, especially when using a KMnO4/Mg mixture. I put permang flash in the same catagory as chlorate/mag flash; It may be powerful, but is consequently more sensetive. I myself have only made small amounts, and through my experimentation have found it to have lesser detonation speed than my perchlorate flash Not sure if one of us is making a mistake on its power, but just stick with perchlorate/KNO3. Beware Glycerin as well....do you want to know the mix for the KMnO4 flash or the Mg S ? because i have never made Mg/S flash. but i use 70:30 KMnO4:Mg by weight. with reasonably fine Mg this self confines at 0.5 grams with a decent thud

Seems like the admins (or at least adamw) should take some sessions on how to teach with patience and understanding, realizing that some people honestly do not want perfection, rather something that works quite well instead of perfectly. There is simply no need to become so extreme in this instance. If it were one of the common misguided chlorate/sulfer posts, i'd understand. People are more apt to take advice when it is given to them in a kinder atmostphere. Is this to say that one should not be interested in perfecting things? Is it OK to be half-assed all the time?!

So really, you don't need a manufacturing license in the US if you don't make es (besiding a small amount of BP for "small munitions")?
