Is 250 mesh uncoated aluminium powder suitable for flash powder? If not, would 450 mesh atomised powder be adequate? I am intending to make potassium chlorate based flash.

I have found a way to produce small amounts of nitrocellulose (cellulose h?xanitrate) using commonly avaliable (UK) ingredients. Would it be appropriate to post the details on this forum? I do not want to sound like a 'jolly r0ger' anarchist moron, nor do i want irresponsible people making NC.

95%+ sulphuric Ac!d is not needed for making the NC, an alternative can be found in some UK shops.

Would it be possible to make small hybrid rockets burning nitrous oxide and and solid fuel? The motor would use a 'whipped cream' 12g nitrous oxide cylinder and burn a fuel such as rubber or sugar. The rocket would be about 1' long.

Does anyone know a british supplier of partially cabonised rye charcoal? I want to try making some cocoa powder. this site shows the recipe http://petelin.gozdi...coa powders.htm . Alternatively is there a british website where i can buy rye seeds? (i have plenty of growing space and im sure you get a lot of homemade charcoal per meter of growing space)

What is 'corn syrup' (also known as karo syrup) to us english chaps? I thought it could be golden syrup, but this isnt made out of maize. I need to know what this is for the syrup rocket propellant. This site has the recipe and videos of propellant burning http://www.jamesyawn.com The site also says dextrose can be used instead, where can this be found in british stores?
